When did it all begin?

I was almost 12 as I listened to an album for the first time! And i mean the first one with the universal standards. It was 1990-91 as my cousin gave me a copy of "Bad" album by  great Michael Jackson. I remember clearly that I was mad about "Smooth Criminal", this was later doubled as I saw the video clip. It was all big, with guns and robot and everything! Amazing  for a child in that age. But it was soon replaced with "The way you make me feel" and of course because of a breath-taking sexy clip (again for a child in that age, and of course in the end of  80's). "Bad" and "Speed demon" were never my favorites. Back then, it was all about the atmosphere of the music, not the lyrics , the genre, the lyrics or anything else, since I was too young to understand them specially considering that neither myself nor anyone around had the knowledge to understand that kind of music or the lyrics.

After relatively a long time, "Liberian girl" became one of the favorites; after "Dirty Diana" with it's perfect combination of piano and electric guitar that makes me even now crazy. The only lyric that I could really (partly) understand with out any texts given, was "I just can't stop loving you". I came always back to this album till I was more than 15 years (of course all these ages are just approximately right)  and I started to like "Man in the Mirror" because after these years, one song has started talking to me. In no world I was able to remember that there has been another songs too, when I had not listened to the album recently. "Another part of me" and "Just good friends" are for me just something to full a complete album with (totally personal taste!) and to be fair, I do not remember "Leave me alone" in that early copy (there is apparently another release of this album, which does not include this song).

After that golden era, it took me a long time to find other musics in the similar level. There were no satellite channels or internet and it was forbidden to sell / buy western music in Iran (so it is till now).
Anyway it was the first time I found out what the meaning of Music was!
